Tiles CUT FROM REAL BRICKS

Brick Effect Tiles

Our range of blends are tiles cut from each side of real bricks, so you get the actual look and feel of real brick on your wall or floor. Much simpler than laying large full bricks, and very versatile. You don't get the soft sheen or join marks on tile imitations.

Brick Tiles for Floor

Our brick tiles are made from bricks for walling, but all the testing approves them for use on floors too. To use brick floor tiles only requires a little extra thought in terms of how you'll manage the non-smooth textures, and you should use our brick sealant to help with cleaning!

Keeping Clean

Bathroom Brick Tiles

Brick is an amazing feature for a bathroom. With our brick tiles you can have them wherever you want in the bathroom. If you're planning to use them in a shower enclosure, you need to use our brick sealant to stop them from being constantly wet - and ensure there is a moisture barrier behind for peace of mind.

Fireplace Brick Tiles

The most common place for brick internally is the fireplace. Our brick tiles are constantly being used on chimney breasts and inside fire chambers, and even on hearths. The tiles, adhesive and mortar are all able to cope with the temperatures inside.

Outdoor Brick Tiles

As our brick tiles are cut from real brick, they are at home outside. If you're cladding a retaining wall, barbecue, extension or full property- they will be perfect for the job. Depending on the substrate you may need to look at our brick cladding panels to help tiling onto some surfaces.

Brick Cladding

Brick Tiles Guidance

We have a few pointers and ideas from customers that may help you in choosing not only which blend you want, but how you're going to use it.

What are Brick Tiles?

Brick tiles are known in the brick industry as brick slips - we use the terms interchangeably, the key thing is that all of our blends are real brick, rather than some brick effect tiles that you can buy made ceramic tile.

The only ones not cut from full bricks are our contemporary collection, which are extruded clay brick. If you want a farmhouse look of old weathered brick, choose from our reclaimed collection. If you want something that has good colour and texture variations but not too much weathering, browse our traditional collection.

In addition to choosing your style of brick, always consider the colour of your mortar. The mortar inbetween the tiles makes a big difference- refer to our pointing mortar for more information.

What's Different from Brick Effect Tiles?

Brick effect ceramic tiles have some texture, unlike most brick wallpapers, but they fall down in a few areas.

As they are often sections of a pattern, there will always be a small join visible, in grouting that to try and cover it you'll need to get the exact spacing and colour as the rest.

The brick prints themselves won't have the slightly rough texture that comes with most bricks, and certainly not any creasing to give character. They also have a soft sheen finish that doesn't reflect traditional bricks.

The key difference though is that the pattern will be repeated, every ceramic imitation panel is the same - so you may as well look at metro tiles or subway tiles.

As our brick tiles are genuine brick, you get a variation of unique individual bricks to create a unique colour and texture of wall. We have a range of colours, and you can choose the mortar colour to customise it even further.

Can They Go Outside?

Yes, as they're bricks cut into tiles, all our blends are suitable for outside as well as inside. If you're re-cladding an existing property, or building in timber frame or ICF for example, you may also want to use our brick slip backing systems too. For smaller projects though our adhesive works straight onto primed masonry.
